How Dowsing Affects Our Lives

Thoughts concerning ways dowsing can and does affect our lives and those around us.  ~ by Bill Northern

I believe you can get the answer to almost anything through dowsing.

A scientist can benefit because the hypothesis can be dowsed in order to see if it is correct. If  yes , then the best way prove it  can be dowsed. If the hypothesis is incorrect, why waste time trying to prove it.

It is usually best to have a partner who also dowses.  If not they will have difficulty understanding the hard looks you get  from non dowsers otherwise.

When meeting people, almost every man and most women will recall they have  a very important appointment within a minute of my telling them what I do.

Recently I was at a polo fundraiser dinner in Lexington, KY. I had been telling a couple sitting at the table, who I knew, about how people would leave within a very short time of me telling them I listened to animals. They were very skeptical about this but soon another couple sat at our table. They had recently moved to Lexington. The wife was involved in the field of law and they had moved to Lexington so the husband could take a big job in the racing industry. After the introductions and them telling us about themselves they inquired about the others at the table. When it came my turn and I told them what I did, they thought it was a good thing to do but in a few seconds the husband remembered someone he needed to see and excused himself. Promising to return is a few minutes. If he ever returned, I did not see him.

You never completely get used to this but it gets a bit easier as you go along.

One of the things I did for years was look for lost animals. My Angels were very good at this and we were getting lost animals to look for in several countries. It was getting to be more than I could do so I stopped and now only assist regular clients. I have turned this part of my business over to Bruce Irwin in N.Y. His number is 518—330-3175. I have received little feedback from him or the clients but do know that he is an excellent dowser so should be good at this.

We need more people willing to look for lost animals. It is more  draining  for dogs because they are often almost constantly moving. I found that when people arrived at the marked location and the dog was not there, I was expected to follow where the dog went at no extra charge. Some people were willing to pay for this extra effort but many resented it. I think mainly because they could not believe someone miles away could do this.
We were on the front page of the Christchurch Press in New Zealand  for locating a wee dog named Mouse by following him through the brush for six days. His owner had a one thousand dollar reward for his return and was pleased to pay us. We told him Mouse had hurt his right front paw and was slowing down. Then another day he hurt his eye going through some bush. One day I picked him up near a house by the Clarence river. About an hour later the owner received a call from the house saying they thought they had found his dog. His injuries were exactly as we had described them to the owner.

Another dog story from New Zealand involved some international entertainers I knew. They had a nice place up in the mountains on the South Island . When they rang me , tow of their hunting dogs had run off.  They were sure the dogs had gone off up in the mountains hunting for themselves. When I received the dogs photo’s and a map of the area I traced them down the road about seven k. from their house. I told them the dogs were resting under a tree and would likely still be there if they hurried. Exactly seven k from the house the dogs were lying under a tree sleeping. We were in Virginia when we found both of these dogs.

Even though I only look for lost animals for regular clients, I still get a lot of calls to find lost keys , diamond rings and other items for people I have never heard of.

My technique for looking for an animal lost is to first request a photo of the animal. From the photo we can dowse to see if the animal is still alive. Then we ask if it wants to be found. If not we call the owner and tell them that we may come close but probably not spot on because the animal does not want to be found.

Most animals that do not want to be found are cats. They can survive quite well without us. When we make them mad enough to leave home they are often not easily persuaded to come back home. Sometimes they have to be trapped in order to bring them back.

Most dogs that are missing are frightened and truly lost. The hunting dog that has been over a large territory is the exception. House dogs can often be within a hundred yards of home and not realize it.

Anyway, after determining if we want the job, the next thing is to print a map of where the animal left from. That place is marked on the map. We then place a marker, usually my finger, in different directions from this spot and keep asking did (the animal I am looking for) go this way? My pendulum will give me a good yes when my finger is off  in the right direction. I then move slowly in that direction until I get a NO response. I then start over by moving my finger in all directions until I get a YES. Then keep going slowly across the map. This can be quite accurate with the new internet tools that allow us to zoom in on an area. The last cat I looked for in California was pinpointed to the actual house where it was hiding in the schrubs.

You can learn to do this also. One reason people choose not to do this is because they have not been successful at it. In the beginning,  I used regular playing cards to practice with . I would have two cards of one color and one of the other color. You can turn the cards over and dowse for the odd card, You can do the same with coins, All of the same denomination but one has a different date. By practicing this way you have instant confirmation. When you are getting this correct 90 percent of the time, you will be able to dowse almost anything more  accurately than any other way we have of checking something.
Over the years I have advised new dowsers , as well as others, to find something they enjoy doing and stick with it until they have it down pat. Then branch out into other things if they feel accurate enough.
When we go over animals, we are able to locate problems sometimes two weeks before the problem can be picked up by a Vet. The video on our web site shows that to be a fact.
I always take what I do very seriously and relish in being right almost all of the time.

Water dowsing is becoming more important every year and I am not sure we are training enough people to do this. The potable water supply is shrinking every year and there are more people who need it every year. I am not known as a water dowser but have marked a few wells for people, both on site and remotely with about equal success. Of the marked wells we have feedback from, all but one turned out OK. On some we had almost dry holes but were able to shift another stream over to our bore, so everything came out OK.
There was one case in N,Z where the farmers well was gradually going dry but neither me or my students were able to shift another stream over to the existing well.

When asking a question my brain wants to be involved in, I use three papers, sometimes in an envelope, One says yes, another no and the other says it doesn’t matter. I have these little papers and envelopes by every telephone. I always try to write the question on paper because my brain has a way of changing it around a bit if I don’t write it. The question must always be very clear.

The first time I did this was right after I went to dowsing school in Vermont. A friend from near Washington, DC rang and asked me to dowse something for him. I agreed and told him to ask the question. He said he could not do that because my brain would want to get involved, He would send the question telepathically. He told me to have my pendulum in search mode and he would send the question. I got a large NO. He acted surprised and asked if I would dowse another for him. I agreed and got a weak yes. He then asked if I would do another question. My pendulum gave me another strong NO.

He thanked me and was going to hang up when I told him I thought he should at least tell me the questions he had been sending so my conscious self would know what we had been doing. He had a house for sale that had been on the market for almost two years. He had a potential buyer but he was going to have to finance the home himself. We got the strong NO. Next question was should I keep the same real estate agent.  Answer a weak YES,  Long pause,,,,, then I said what was the third question. He said I did not believe the answer to the first question so I asked the first question over again.
